What A Lovely Day

Eventide and Varen for ! They were tons of fun to make- what can I say, I love deer-ponies- and a bit of a challenge in some aspects. I had the opportunity to try plenty of new techniques, though, so all in all it was a learning experience. I think Varen (the one on the right) is my favorite. His markings were a much-needed distraction from my schoolwork. 

Boh of them were made from a mix of Super Sculpey and Living Doll clay, painted with acrylics, and sealed with Modge Podge. Varen's little tongue is Sculpey III, and upon seeing that Eventide wasn't laying evenly (ha, I didn't even mean to make that pun ), I crafted a small pillow out of foam and scrap fabric. Eventide does have horns, but I decided to remove them for easy shipping and forgot to photograph them. Sorry about that!
